Clearly God wants us to keep his commandments.
Jewish leaders created 603 man made laws which were attached to God’s Ten Commandments.
The leaders failed to recognize that God’s laws were more important than theirs.
Most of the people of the time didn’t know all of the laws which then gave religious leaders power to control them with guilt. Have you ever said you would obey God if you knew what he wanted?
As this reading states obey his commandments, that’s what he wants.
If you follow the advice of this reading you wouldn’t be the one bringing trouble into your life would you?
Others will bring trouble but you will be able to handle it because you will have a firm foundation in God’s law which will help you see and live through problems.
