Research Abstract : This project seeks to raise the public’s awareness of the destructive effects of steroid use in baseball. Senator Mitchell has stiffened the steroid use policy with harsher suspensions. Steroids is a major problem in Major League Baseball. Anabolic steroids can facilitate the growth of skeletal muscle. There are serious effects of taking steroids, such as heart attack, baldness, and mood swings. Research Abstract Did you know? : Did you know? 1/15,000 players make it to the major leagues? 104/ 1,280 players have failed a steroid test? (Wade) Slide 6: In the 1930’s, Anabolic steroids were developed. Scientists found that steroids could facilitate the growth of skeletal muscle.
