Location This is one of the key locations in the film their family home. This is used through out the film as a key location to establish the scene of the film but is also used in two of the main dramatic events, the break in and “Lisa” eventually death at the end of the film. the use of a suburban types location in the film helps portray to the audience that they are just a normal family and the use of using the location as a key place for dramatic events helps bridge the gap between the normality of their family and the non- normality of the events that happen in their life. The use of a suburban location is in keeping with typical locations used in thriller films. This is another key location in the film a hotel pool setting. This is a key location in the film because it is where “Lisa” attacks “Derrick” which is a major and key part of the film because up until this point “Lisa” obsession of “Derrick” has been in a non- violent so this is a key point in the film because it is when the film becomes more violent and also more in line with a typical thriller film, because up until this point the film has focus mainly on psychological issues of obsession. This is another key location in the film the office space where “Derrick” works. This is a key location in the film because it is where the whole of “Lisa” obsession with “Derrick started. The use of this office type location is incomplete contrast to the suburban type location where the family live and this directly mirrors the underling plotline of the film which is two completely contrasting locations normal family life and a psychological stalker this is mirrored in the selected of this location. This is another key location that is used in the film “Derrick” and “Sharon” bedroom. This is a key location in the film because not only is it part of the suburban house location it also is where a major event in the film happens such as “Lisa” breaking into their house this is key because it is the point In the film where the two different pats of the film end up colliding in the way that the obsession is not now just in the working environment of the office she has broken into their home and trashed it which sends a very clear message as an audience member that “Lisa” obsession has now taken a more sinister turn. The use of a bedroom is in keeping with typical location in thriller films.
Slide 3:
Costume These are some of the key costumes that in the film “Sharon” wears. They have used a lot of jean and casual clothes for her in the film also they have stuck to a light colour pallet using whites and yellow and other pastel and earthly tone opting to use very little black or other dark colours. The use of these types of costume portrays her to the audience to be a normal character in comparison to “Lisa” because of the less harsh colour pallet and less formal look of the costumes. These costumes are in keeping with typical costumes used in thriller films for victims. These are some of the key costumes in the film that “Derrick” wears. They have used a lot of suit trousers paired with more casual looking shirts and jumpers. They have stuck to light colours such as light blues and white but have also used dark colours in his jeans and other trousers. This use of these costumes on “Derrick” portray him to be more normal in the film because they are using lighter colours and also less formal types clothes apart from when he is at work. These costumes are in keeping with typical costumes used in thriller films for victims. These are some of the key costumes that “Lisa” wears in the film. They have chosen in complete contrast to the other two main characters costumes to use very formal types clothes like shirts, pencil skirts and heels. Also they have chosen to use a darker colour pallet for her costume such as black, and dark tones of blue. Also at key points in the film they have use blood red in the film which is very in keeping with the traits of femme fatial costumes. The use of these factors in her costume portray her to the audience as a typical femme fatial character. These are typical costumes used in thriller films for villains.

Props Pictures and photo graphs are used as a key prop in obsessed. They are used to enforce “Lisa” obsession with Derrick and the rest of his family. This as an audience member helps gives us a better idea about “Lisa” psychotically state through out the film. photographs are a typical prop to be used in a thriller film. This is one of the key photographs used in obsessed as a key prop. This photo is used one “Lisa” looks around “Derrick” office with out him knowing. The use of a photograph in this scene of “Derrick” and his family used when “Lisa” is looking around his office as an viewers of the film it helps tell you that not only is “Lisa” obsessed with “Derrick” but envies his whole family life. This as a viewer gives you an incite into her mental state at this point in the film. This is another family photo of “Derrick” “Sharon” and their son. This photo is included in the scene when “Derrick” and “Sharon” discover that “Lisa” has broken into their house and ransacked their bedroom. The use of a photo later on in the film that has had “Sharon” face has been ripped out of shows that in this point in the film “Lisa” progressively worse mental sate compared to when she was just looking at their family photo. As an audience member the use of this prop gives you a real a incite into her sate of mind at this point in the film

Lighting The type of lighting that that are included obsessed are low lighting of locations to help create an air of tension in a scene. Also there are a few scenes where they have used lighting in obsessed to help create shadows through lighting which has been used to create a sense of mystery in certain shots. This is an example of the use of minimal low lighting in a scene in “Obsessed”. This is an example of the lighting used in the scene when “Sharon” and “Derrick” discover that their house has been broken into. The use of this type of lighting helps add to the tension building quality of this scene and also gives it more of an unsettling feeling as a viewer watching. The use of low lighting in locations is in keeping with lighting typical to thriller films. This is an example of the use of lighting to create shadows in a scene in “Obsessed”. In this scene lighting has been used to mask “Lisa” as she walks towards the camera the use of the lighting has created a shadow also. The use of using lighting to create a shadow has help add a more sinister and scary quality to this scene through the choice of the lighting they have used. The use of using lighting to create shadows is in keeping with conventional lighting techniques used in thriller films.
