Final Fantasy :Final Fantasy The Spirits Within
A Look Inside the Final Fantasy Dynasty
Slide 2:role-playing game –noun a game in which participants adopt the roles of imaginary characters in an adventure under the direction of a Game Master. The Final Fantasy Collection redefined the limits and style of role-playing games. Without Final Fantasy, video games as we know them now would most likely be very different.
Final Fantasy is THE role-playing video game.
Slide 3:Final Fantasy was created by Hironobu Sakaguchi in 1987.
It was intended to be the last game made by the failing
Square company, hence the name “Final Fantasy”.
It was a phenomenal success and there are now 28 games in the Final Fantasy collection, including spin-offs.
There are 2 full length CGI movies, the first of which was directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi.
Nobuo Uematsu composed the music for almost all of the
Final Fantasies.
Over 80 Million Copies of the games have been sold world-wide.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001)
The Spirits Within was the second biggest animated box office
flop, losing over 120 million dollars. However, it was critically
acclaimed and the lead female character (Dr. Aki Ross) was voted
Maxim Magazines #87 of the 2001 “Hot 100”. She is the only
computer generation to ever hit the list.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2006)
Advent Children was released on DVD. It was highly
anticipated amongst gamers and the release date was
pushed back multiple times. It was finally released a
year after it was originally intended.

Slide 7:Final Fantasy continues to pave the way for RPG’s across the globe. Final Fantasy XIII is due to be released sometime this year.
And as the innovative leader in Fantasy video games, it seems as if Hironobu Sakaguchi’s “final” fantasy is anything but.
