Maslow was an American psychologist who was known for creating Maslow’s Hierarchy needs.


According to the Maslow “ Hierarchy of Needs ” is the best known “Theory of motivation ”. This psychological theory focuses on fulfilling human needs .

The Five Main Need of The Human Being Are: 1. Physiological Need The physiological needs are the basic need of the human being. It includes the need to eat, drink, shelter, work, sleep etc. 2. Belonging Needs It is important for employees to feel part of the group. Employees should be equally accepted. 3. Self-Esteem Needs It is concerned with the need to feel confident and recognized for their achievements.


This need is concerned with the personal growth and development of the employees. 4. Self-Realisation Needs


Maslow believed that individual growth is the main reason for the organization’s success. The leader must concentrate on these needs of the employees.


According to Maslow, It makes you a good leader when you understand employees’ reason for doing something. You must focus on their needs if you want them to stay focused and motivated.
