Sink Water Filters Guide:

Sink Water Filters Guide I have a 20BB Big Blue Sediment Water Filter in my home and the rubber O-ring that fits around the top of the canister is old and stretched a little, does anyone know where I could find one? I could always try and take it to home depot and find one that may work, but I’m hoping that someone might know exactly where to find the same o-ring online, I’ve searched and searched and haven’t found it.

Slide 2:

when my wife and I wash clothes we have noticed lately our white clothes are a bit dingy.Although the water looks clear, the shower head and other faucets around the house get crudded over with calcium colored like red mud. Our home is built on red clay, whatis this simpliest soloution to the problem? I have home depot coming next week about a whole house purification filter, but i really don’t wanna put 3 grand into the solution

Slide 3:

Please don’t spend thousands on a softener or expensive reverse osmosis water filter. You can have a plumber install a simple sediment filter. If you want, you could install a sediment filter followed by a carbon filter if you have problems with an odd taste in your water. The least expensive but best brand

Slide 4:

I have a water filter in my GE Profile refrigerator that I use for drinking water. I don’t want to invest in a whole house filter yet, but I am concerned that my dishes (even with Jet Dry) are left with calcium/mineral residue. Does anyone have any recommendations for some “in-line” style filter I could probably hook up to the hot-water line going to my dishwasher? Maybe this way I can have cleaner looking dishes and maybe in the future I will tackle a whole house filter down the road…

Slide 5:

I use the plastic box filters in almost half of my tanks and they work fine. You will be able to see when the media gets dirty and change it for new. I use 100% polyester pillow stuffing for my media. Some tank gravel or glass marbles in the bottom of the box will keep it down at the bottom where it is supposed to stay.
