Survival Food Supplies Im currently watching a film called Soylent green, I put it on pause to see if this scary situation could occur, we have no places to grow food or be self sufficient in our large cities such as London and New York, we rely heavily on shops to supply us for survival, but with overcrouding or an Emergency would we be able to survive or in the future in a non emergency with the population of the world increasing would we have enough food to feed the world population say by 2025?

Without food deliveries cities would soon run out of food, but so would small towns and even the farming areas except during harvest seasons. Almost everyone in developed countries depend on the food distribution system to eat. It is estimated we can feed twice the population that currently exist and the world birth rates are falling and the population is expected fall after 2050 long before we run out of food.

A survival kit is very important to each one of us. Survival kit contains basic instruments and supplies used for emergencies. Most of aircrafts like military aircrafts and space craft are equipped with the survival kit, and also lifeboats. People who work in the remote areas, like forestry workers, bush pilots, or surveyors are also equipped with survival kit. People lived in the places prone to earthquakes and other natural calamities have their disaster supplies kit. Survival kit is also called as bug-out bags (BOBs), Personal Relocation Kits (PERK) or get out of dodge kits, where are placed on backpacks or duffel bags. The homemade survival kit is very handy for any kind of emergencies.

Whenever we hear about a natural disaster we might feel petrified for the reason that the effects it has on the homes as well as the lives of the people. So it is very essential to be prepared for any unexpected disaster. However, there is no matter which geographical area you live in, there are potentials for man-made disasters, such as terrorist attacks or fires; and natural disasters such as earthquakes, wildfires, floods, hurricanes and tornadoes.

Disaster preparedness or emergency preparedness is very important to cope up with natural disaster. The first step of emergency preparedness is to purchase an emergency kit as well as disaster kit for oneself and one’s family which can help you to fight in disaster situations; however, you can also assembled the kit at home as per your need. If you have disaster preparedness then you will have a greater possibility to endure after the misfortune. But, in the catastrophic disaster, we cannot rely only on emergency personnel because they will be unable to assist the many people who will need help.
