Whole House W ater F iltration S ystem A rticles I have a intank tetra 125 gallon per hour filtration system..40 gallon wide mouth tank with two RES, 1 year old and a 6year old. Sorry for those who think I need a better tank..maybe i should just take him back to he concrete parking lot where i found him…A simple question that can be answered just critisim The best control is frequent water changes. And a MUCH larger tank than the one you have.

You should have a borehole pump and then I would suggest fitting a header tank above the pump. You can get a float switch in the tank to get the pump to fill it when it goes low. If you make the tank high enough (I would say about 10 feet) you will get enough pressure. Then you can fit your filter on the wall outside your house at the incoming point to the house and connect it to the tank with a pipe.

Slide 3:

Option two will be to run from the pump to the filter and have a presseure switch on the line if the pressure goes low the pump will come on. Otherwise you can fit a paddle flow switch on the water line and if the tap opens the water will flow and the pump will come on. My gran and my sister had the water header or reservoir system and my sister had the filter on the wall.

We have a 10 gallon tank and tried using our tap water, which is well water. We do have a filtration system but still have high iron levels. We lost all but one goldfish. The other day he looked like he was on his last leg, so I took it out of the tank and put it into a little bowl filled with water that was filtered through a Brita pitcher. He’s doing MUCH better.
