Air Pollution:

Air Pollution Air pollution is the presence of one or more physical substance, chemical, or biological in the atmosphere in the amount that may endanger human health, animals, and plants, disrupt the aesthetics and comfort, or property damage. Various kinds of air pollution causes Acid Rain N ormal pH of rainwater is 5.6 due to the CO 2 in the atmosphere. Air pollutants such as SO 2 and NO 2 react with water to form acid rain and lower the pH of rain water .

Greenhouse Effect The greenhouse effect caused by the presence of CO 2 , CFC, methane, ozone, and troposphere N 2 O which absorbs solar radiation reflected by the earth's surface. As a result of heat trapped in the troposphere and the cause of global warming phenomenon.

Damage to the ozone layer Ozone is a molecule that is composed of three oxygen atoms. In stratosphere layer, ultraviolet rays can split oxygen molecules into two oxygen atoms. Free oxygen atom (O) is highly reactive, so as to meet the O 2 molecules will react to form ozone molecules (O 3 ). The ozone layer in the stratosphere (altitude of 20-35 km) is the natural protector of the earth that serves to filter ultraviolet B radiation from the sun.

The formation and decomposition of ozone molecules (O 3 ) occurs naturally in the stratosphere. CFC emissions that reach the stratosphere is very stable and causes the rate of decomposition of ozone molecules faster than its formation, forming the holes in the ozone layer . The ozone layer has a function as a filter ultraviolet radiation from sunlight. If the ozone layer becomes thinner, it will increase the intensity of ultraviolet radiation and cause skin cancer

Ozone depletion :

Ozone depletion Ozone layer depletion is due to disruption of the equilibrium reaction of the formation and decomposition of ozone molecules in the stratosphere. Observations indicate the occurrence of atmospheric conditions reducing the number of molecules of ozone globally, particularly over the South Pole region (Antarctica) that have shaped the Ozone hole at a certain time period.
