Scripture Hebrew-MH Commentarywww.biblegateway.com :

www.e-sword.net Heb 11:17 By faithG4102 Abraham,G11 when he was tried,G3985 offered upG4374 Isaac:G2464 andG2532 he that had receivedG324 theG3588 promisesG1860 offered upG4374 his only begottenG3439 son www.biblegateway.com Abraham's faith and obedience to the Divine command. Never was any gold tried in so hot a fire. Who but Abraham would not have argued with God? Such would have been the thought of a weak heart; but Abraham knew that he had to do with a God, even Jehovah. Faith had taught him not to argue, but to obey. He is sure that what God commands is good; that what he promises cannot be broken. In matters of God, whoever consults with flesh and blood, will never offer up his Isaac to God. The good patriarch rises early, and begins his sad journey. And now he travels three days, and Isaac still is in his sight! Misery is made worse when long continued. The expression, We will come again to you, shows that Abraham expected that Isaac, being raised from the dead, would return with him. It was a very affecting question that Isaac asked him, as they were going together: to My father, to said Isaac; it was a melting word, which, one would think, should strike deeper in the heart of Abraham, than his knife could in the heart of Isaac. Yet he waits for his son's question. Then Abraham, where he meant not, prophesies: to My son, God will provide a lamb for a burnt-offering. to The Holy Spirit, by his mouth, seems to predict the Lamb of God, which he has provided, and which taketh away the sin of the world. Abraham lays the wood in order for his Isaac's funeral pile, and now tells him the amazing news: Isaac, thou art the lamb which God has provided! Abraham, no doubt, comforting him with the same hopes with which he himself by faith was comforted. Yet it is necessary that the sacrifice be bound. The great Sacrifice, which, in the fulness of time, was to be offered up, must be bound, and so must Isaac. This being done, Abraham takes the knife, and stretches out his hand to give the fatal blow. Here is an act of faith and obedience, which deserves to be a spectacle to God, angels, and men. God, by his providence, calls us to part with an Isaac sometimes, and we must do it with cheerful submission to his holy will, 1Sa 3:18. Scripture James 2:14-26 ( Amp.)www.biblegateway.com :

14What is the use (profit), my brethren, for anyone to profess to have faith if he has no [good] works [to show for it]? Can [such] faith save [his soul]?15If a brother or sister is poorly clad and lacks food for each day16And one of you says to him, Good-bye! Keep [yourself] warm and well fed, without giving him the necessities for the body, what good does that do?17So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).18But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith.19You believe that God is one; you do well. So do the demons believe and shudder [in terror and horror such as [a]make a man's hair stand on end and contract the surface of his skin]!20Are you willing to be shown [proof], you foolish (unproductive, spiritually deficient) fellow, that faith apart from [good] works is inactive and ineffective and worthless?21Was not our forefather Abraham [shown to be] justified (made acceptable to God) by [his] works when he brought to the altar as an offering his [own] son Isaac?(A22You see that [his] faith was cooperating with his works, and [his] faith was completed and reached its supreme expression [when he implemented it] by [good] works.23And [so] the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed in (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on) God, and this was accounted to him as righteousness (as conformity to God's will in thought and deed), and he was called God's friend.(B)24You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith [through works of obedience as well as by what he believes].25So also with Rahab the harlot--was she not shown to be justified (pronounced righteous before God) by [good] deeds when she took in the scouts (spies) and sent them away by a different route?(C)26For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead. Scripture Matthew MHCommentarywww.biblegateway.com :

Matthew 22Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health. Christ raises the daughter of Jairus, He heals the issue of blood. The death of our relations should drive us to Christ, who is our life. And it is high honour to the greatest rulers to attend on the Lord Jesus; and those who would receive mercy from Christ, must honour him. The variety of methods Christ took in working his miracles, perhaps was because of the different frames and tempers of mind, which those were in who came to him, and which He who searches the heart perfectly knew. A poor woman applied herself to Christ, and received mercy from him by the way. If we do but touch, as it were, the hem of Christ's garment by living faith, our worst evils will be healed; there is no other real cure, nor need we fear his knowing things which are a grief and burden to us, but which we would not tell to any earthly friend. When Christ entered the ruler's house, he said, Give place. Sometimes, when the sorrow of the world prevails, it is difficult for Christ and his comforts to enter. The ruler's daughter was really dead, but not so to Christ. The death of the righteous is in a special manner to be looked on as only a sleep. The words and works of Christ may not at first be understood, yet they are not therefore to be despised. The people were put forth. Scorners who laugh at what they do not understand, are not proper witnesses of the wonderful works of Christ. Dead souls are not raised to spiritual life, unless Christ take them by the hand: it is done in the day of his power. If this single instance of Christ's raising one newly dead so increased his fame, what will be his glory when all that are in their graves shall hear his voice, and come forth; those that have done good to the resurrection of life, and those that have done evil to the resurrection of damnation! Conclusion :

The saving faith ‘pistis’ and a fruit of the Spirit in all believers will be progressive as the believer grows and will result in manifest works, signs, miracles as led by the Spirit of God and according to His Will as performed by the faithful believers. As it says in the kind of faith below for verse John 3:16- we are saved and justified by G4100- which is believing in the name- authority and character of Jesus Christ and His finished works of redemption on the Cross to those who truly repent , believe and follow Him then afterwards- as Spirit-led and regenerated by the Lord- in to sanctification and so we will have works of faith as a result of obeying the Spirit and His Word as led. Joh 3:16 ForG1063 GodG2316 soG3779 lovedG25 theG3588 world,G2889 thatG5620 he gaveG1325 hisG848 only begottenG3439 Son,G5207 thatG2443 whosoeverG3956 believethG4100 inG1519 himG846 should notG3361 perish,G622 butG235 haveG2192 everlastingG166 life.G2222 Joh 3:17 ForG1063 GodG2316 sentG649 notG3756 hisG848 SonG5207 intoG1519 theG3588 worldG2889 toG2443 condemnG2919 theG3588 world;G2889 butG235 thatG2443 theG3588 worldG2889 throughG1223 himG846 might be saved.G4982 Joh 3:18 He that believethG4100 onG1519 himG846 is notG3756 condemned:G2919 butG1161 he that believethG4100 notG3361 is condemnedG2919 already,G2235 becauseG3754 he hath notG3361 believedG4100 inG1519 theG3588 nameG3686 of theG3588 only begottenG3439 SonG5207 of God.G2316 Heb 12:2 LookingG872 untoG1519 JesusG2424 theG3588 authorG747 andG2532 finisherG5051 of our faith;G4102 whoG3739 forG473 theG3588 joyG5479 that was set beforeG4295 himG848 enduredG5278 the cross,G4716 despisingG2706 the shame,G152 andG5037 is set downG2523 atG1722 the right handG1188 of theG3588 throneG2362 of God.G2316 Conclusion
