The first recorded baseball game was in 1846 but It says that many people started playing with before the civil war began. When the civil war began interest in baseball began to fade but it was not forgotten. When thee war finished many Americans came back to the sports and clubs began to form and many games began to charge admission to their games.American Association Or National League: American Association Or National League The first professional baseball league was set up in 1871 with 9 teams then 13 by 1875. This professional was set up based on many amateur clubs. This league was know as the National Association then changed its name to National League. They handed everything from schedules to pricing games. When the business men knew they could make money they set up a rival league to the national league and called it the American Association. This league was set up as a competion with the National League by reducing prices in order to make more money than the than them.
