It is now possible for almost any company to produce high quality porcelain photos and custom cremation urns for the funeral industry, custom tile using any artwork, custom tableware, and many other uniquely imaged ceramic and porcelain products. Receive Artwork: Receive Artwork Slides, negatives, digital photos, analog photos, computer graphics, camera ready art, paintings, finger paintings etc. can all be source images for the system.


Digitize Art: Digitize Art Analog artwork can be scanned Digital artwork can be received in essentially any format with .tif and .bmp preferred but .jpg is also fine. Minimum resolution for good quality is 300 dpi. 600 dpi is ideal and will capitalize on the exceptional image quality possible with the system.


Photoshop Art to Customer Specs.: Photoshop Art to Customer Specs. Crop, size, correct, combine etc. image elements to meet the customers specification. If a proof is required send it electronically. Prepare Image for Reproduction: Prepare Image for Reproduction Convert to CMYK in Photoshop and press the mouse button. Ceramic product images are formatted to fit the maximum number on a sheet. The printer will print the image on water slide decal paper using ceramic pigments.


Print Art: Print Art Ceramic images are sent to the printer and printed with ceramic pigment chemistry.


Apply to Substrate: Apply to Substrate The printed image is laminated to a transfer film which completes the production of a water slide decal.

Final Production Step: Final Production Step The imaged porcelain piece is put into a kiln and fired to 1600 °F +/-. During firing, the image is fired into the surface of the glaze for gloss and very high durability. The resulting product delivers true, TCA tested ceramic performance – UV stability, scratch and abrasion resistance. It will last until it is broken. Porcelain enameled metal can also be used.
