Navy blocks with Burgundy Red and white pinwheels. Tan border. Purchased in 1979 from Antique Quilt Dealer, John Saul. Circa 1860s. Done as a patriotic quilt. Some stains on back.

Item # 200 Live Quilt Benefit Auction Thursday, April 28 Preview 9 am – 5pm Auction 6 pm - 8 pm Quilt/Wall Hanging by Patricia Hobbs "Six Layers & Garlic" was an experiment in transparent tissue underlining with a teabag over that defined with white watercolor pencil. The Garlic layer was painted with acrylic. Next, a transparent polyester ombre was fused on top, then a pale blue batiste scroll was added. The last layer was a rice paper marbled with gold attached with acrylic mat medium. A wonderful piece of art.
