Creating Profiles: 

Creating Profiles Facebook , Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+

All services require: A valid e-mail address that you can access now The name you want for the organisation What you need:

An e-mail will be sent to the address provided which includes a link to activate your account. Top Tip: If you have access to your society e-mail address, use that.

Step 1: Give your profile a picture. This can be done by: Uploading from USB Importing from society homepage Step 2: If you are using your society email account, you can import contacts Step 3: Add details of the society web page and a little bit about the society

When looking at your homepage, click on the arrow next to the head icon and select ‘Settings’

Personalise Use the ‘ Design ’ and ‘ Profile ’ options to add your society logo and change the page theme.

Linkedin works differently You need to create an account for yourself before creating a group

Signing Up: 

Signing Up When you have created a personal profile, you can add as much or as little personal information as you like. To participate more actively, add more details.

Complete the details you want to appear on the profile. Towards the bottom of the page is a section about how you want people to be able to find the group. I suggest a ‘ Request to Join ’ policy but you can decide whether you want members to be able to invite others (this might be useful to build numbers)

Done!: 

Done! This is your Group profile. You should go to the ‘ Manage ’ tab to see the options which are available to you as a group manager. These options include: Approval of members Sending announcements Moderate postings

Google +: 

Google + By now, this should be getting familiar. You need to create a Google account if you do not have one. This can be done with any e-mail address. Once you have logged into your account, click on the ‘+You’ This will take you to Google+ Click the button

Get some pictures and other content uploaded to make your profile interesting
