Welcome We would like to thank you for expressing an interest within our program. During this presentation you will receive valuable information about our organization and the many programs that we offer within . The presentation will provide you with an outline of what our program consist of and our mission. Project Y.T.G., is developed to target the many issues that affect our children , familiies , youth , schools , communities , etc. Issues that are almost shockingly growing faster day by day . Our biggest target is to establish and demonstrate the skills and techniques required to bring the vast problem of bullying to an end. While visiting several schools , I observed that the school system is very adament in keeping our children and communities safe , but the reality is that not one school , or official, or brave person can save our youth alone . We have to join in unity to demonstrate and lead by example , allowing our children to follow in those same directions. Our society is a beautiful diverse cluster of many magnitudes of life. However , we do not live in a perfect world. If not equipped with the proper knowledge , resources , neccessities in life, encouragment , and support; that leaves an individual disadvantaged at reaching their potential and goals. Lack of encouragement also contributes to low self- esteem , lack of confidence, shyness , etc., creating tendicies to difficulties expressing ones self. Without proper communication skills we lack important information , we become ignorant to issues and matters that are very important to us as a whole . Involvement in Project Y.T.G., will promote the movement that will allow our children the advancement and prosperity in life that many of us never had the opportunity to experience . Message to all Upon visiting several schools and participating in events within my children’s schools, all of the schools shared one common problem. Lack of parental involvement . One particular event I attended was at my daughter’s school, an event that allowed the girls to decorate cupcakes for the moms to take home. The school has daily attendance of children grades Pre-K through 8. While the event was open to all the girls school-wide, there was a very poor turn-out as there has been at many other events. While having lunch with my daughters 1 st grade class, I noticed how all the children wanted to engage in meaningful conversations with the more friendly parents, talking on and on about their at home matters, school matters, personal opinions, etc. It made me realize how sometimes as parents we are so consumed with the matters that are present at the time or just daily responsibilities, that we sometimes don’t hear exactly what our children have to say or are trying to tell us. Some of the student’s even displayed signs of jealousy when I was responding to other children and couldn’t give them my undivided attention. Upon returning to the classroom after lunch, it was strange how even after 45 minutes of conversation with the children and playing games at the lunch table; I still managed to grasp their attention just by my presence., even after multiple reprimands from the teacher. It displayed to me how important communication, respect, and authority is within our households. I also observed how teachers are faced with the hard position of resolving these issues for and alongside the students, how overwhelming some of the activities can becomes with non-cooperative students, and just how easy it is for inappropriate actions or activities to take place within the school setting without cooperation and support from parents. Some students didn’t have adequate lunch, some children’s garments weren’t the cleanest, creating room and opportunity for the student’s to interact in a negative manner. Lack of attention, lack of love, lack of care, hunger, deprivation, stress, and overwhelming issues can all cause students to rebel or lash out at each other. Project Y.T.G., was created to assist teachers, parents, and communities to provide the necessary skills, time, attention and tools needed to prosper with success. We offer programs that will ensure the security and comfort that parents need for their children. It provides the students with a comfortable suitable environment, that promotes brainstorming, collaborating on ways to eliminate bullying, the wide-spread of teen pregnancy, the study of numbers that will lead to overall life empowerment and improvement, a some many more vast opportunities that our children may never get to experience. We aim to implement our programs within the Baltimore School System. With your support and encouragement and word of mouth, Project Y.T.G., can improve, promote and sustain life.

Project Y.T.G., (Youth Transitioning into Greatness), is an organization developed to rebuild our households, families, communities, etc. Through positive communication and networking, we can all enjoy the satisfaction and growth within our youth and neighborhoods. Project Y.T.G.’s goal is to assist parents, students, communities, with rebuilding our schools, communities, neighborhoods and most importantly, our households. We are all faced with the harshness of todays economic crisis, worldly issues, natural disasters, crime within our communities, broken homes, etc. All issues that are no longer just prevalent within our low income families, poverty stricken neighborhoods, or less advantaged communities. Our organization provides assistance with providing several programs that allow our youth the opportunity to fulfill dreams, to improve school studies, increase positive communication, and most of all address and eliminate the widespread epidemic of bullying. With the support of our schools, parents, communities, and officials; we can start the movement to guarantee our children a bright and prosperous future, allowing them to develop into responsible, independent, studious, productive individuals. Our program will work directly with the students and members to establish discipline, responsibility, independence, positive progression and all the necessary tools to allow positive progression. Encouragement and participation within our youth’s lives and environments will increase confidence, self esteem, and leads them on the path of success. As parents and mentors, we all share the responsibility of providing our youth with safe and secure households, environments, etc., to ensure that the growing epidemics of over-population, economic issues, bullying, pedophilia, and many many other matters that we face day to day, that go un-noticed.

What are the goals and mission of project y.t.g . ?

Our main goal is to provide our youth with various opportunities that will encourage positive thinking, positive decision making, productive and safe networking and communication skills. Providing our children with rare opportunities encourages them to continue to dream and achieve to the best of their ability. Following the program and continuing to be consistent in encouragement, will instill confidence, self-esteem, and pride within our youth; creating a more peaceful and productive environment. We hope to develop a movement that will help to eliminate the widespread issues that our children face day to day within schools, our homes, communities, friendships, etc. Bullying has been the most relevant issue at hand, that requires everyone's attention. As parents, we sometimes become so consumed with providing for our families, maintaining personal lifestyles, hobbies, or so many other responsibilities, that we sometime turn a blind eye, or forget about the small things that our children really hold dear. We aren’t always available for chaperoning opportunities, fundraisers, special events; Project Y.T.G. is here to provide the assistance that will provide every child with the elements needed to maintain good grades, healthy living habits, positive thinking, and all the necessary tools to become productive individuals within our society. We aim to provide experiences and opportunities that will encourage our students to continue to pursue their career choices, improve within their natural talents, to become active members within their communities and all the adventures that will lead to their success.

All the programs within the organization has been developed to help eliminate the growing issues that are becoming epidemics directly affecting our youth and communities. There are so many issues that our children face daily just attending school on a regular basis, that are not addressed properly or given any knowledge of. Project Y.T.G., teaches and encourages the children to establish healthy and positive friendships, allowing them to share stories, common interests, hobbies, etc. If we display positivity within our environments, communities, homes, and schools, this provides our children with positive morals, great decision making skills, confidence, and self-esteem. Every program will provide the youth with an element to sustain positivity, increase positive communication, and build gateways to success . Introducing different cultures, ways of life, living standards, worldly issues that needs assistance and to be addressed, experiencing hands on opportunities that will develop appreciation, gratitude, self preservation and so many other qualities that our children need to adapt to society and remain productive . We have to address the matters that are present to eliminate reoccurrences of negativity. You can start this transition, by simple conversation with your children, getting involved within our communities, and establishing guidelines and priorities within our families.

Arts – promoting children freedom of expression, emotion, and thought. Students will express themselves through artwork, poetry, song and dance. The Arts team will work diligently by collaborating with one another to perform various plays, skits, poetry, along with a wide variety of many other aspects of expression and mediation through the arts. The students will come together as a unit and perform their stories, and skits for their parents, families, friends, and communities to promote positive expression. Music – providing the students with the necessary tools to engage in the areas of music production, sound, song, video, and creative thinking. The Music team will collaborate to write and perform a theme song for Project Y.T.G., in front of an audience. Recording, editing, and promoting their ideas to create Numerology – the students will learn the study of numbers. Studying numbers provides individuals with a greater understanding of ones life and occurances . Numbers provide us with a better understanding of the universe and life itself. The children will learn the meanings of each number, and how it pertains to them directly. All students will receive a personal numbers report to establish a deeper understanding of themselves and each other.

Our mentoring program is designed to help engage the students in activities and communications that will promote studying, assisting others, and collaborating to make effective change. Establishing unity and promoting positive communication within our schools, homes, communities, and businesses. The program is similar to a “Big Brother, Big Sister” program. Through mentoring, it allows the children and students to produce positive, and creative communication skills. The students will assist one another with schoolwork, projects, household matters, thoughts, opinions, differences, while bonding and gaining self-esteem, confidence, pride, and values. Allowing your children to participate in the Mentoring program will provide knowledge, and assist with guaranteeing your child is developing into amazing and impeccable individuals. mentoring

The pen pal program allows the students the opportunity to communicate with other children worldwide, who experience the same day to day issues in different countries, cultures, and settings. Allowing our children to view the world through positive eyes, promoting good morals, values, respect, and dignity. Many children don’t share the same advantages or opportunities to have siblings, neighborhood/childhood friendships, relationships with others who share common interests, etc. Through pen pals all the children will gain a knowledge of, and new found respect for the many aspects and ways of life. There’s many matters at hand that deserve national attention, that without proper resources we have no knowledge of. Cross Country Pen Pals will engage our children in matters of the world that will open doors and create vast imaginations. Helping Hands is our volunteer program that encourages volunteering within our schools and communities. The program builds responsibility, good health habits, knowledge of local and worldwide issues and promotes awareness of environments. The members of Project Y.T.G., will reach out to various agencies, organizations, businesses and charities to offer our volunteer services. Increasing the quality of life amongst our neighborhoods, and youth environments. Communication is one of the most important aspects of life these days. Our curriculum consists of a vast amount of activities, assignments, and trips, that will allow the children to gain a better understanding of the world that we all share. These activities include but are not limited to: Daily Assignments – assignments will consist of reports on current and past events , book reports, survey’s to allow the children to share opinions and views , collaborating with one another to solve problems , math equations , riddles , etc. Art Shop – allowing the children to express themselves through their artwork and imagination. Establishing confidence and allowing freedom of expression. Chess Club – teaching and helping the children improve in the very interesting game of chess . Arts/Media – the students will work together and individually to write plays , scripts, songs , poetry , etc. That represents themselves and each other . The children will work together and write a play /story that will be performed in front of an audience that will address the many challenges our youth faces in our society. The event will provide parents with a better understanding of their children and their values, their likes , their passions, etc. There are many other experiences that the children will share with one another that will bridge the gaps that are very visible within our schools , and communities .

How is project y.t.g . funded?

Project Y.T.G., is funded primarily by the founder. Donations, sponsors, discounts, and volunteering can all produce services and revenue needed to ensure that Project Y.T.G. is a great success. All donations and services received will be used to provide each student with the necessary elements to provide adequate care. While all students may not share the same needs, we welcome all donations. Upon visiting several schools, there are many children who lack the necessary tools to promote or encourage success. As a unit we can all start with assisting at least one individual student to ensure there is no deprivation of progress due to lack of information, knowledge, tools, unconscious of environments, etc. All donations provided will be distributed among the students within the program upon a needed basis.

We encourage and invite everyone to participate and join in the movement. Establishing communication with your children, neighbors, schools, and communities; builds stronger foundations and environments for our youth. Getting involved within your children’s schools will provide you with a better understanding of your child’s daily atmospheres, and many aspects of their days routines, their eating habits, hobbies, fears, etc. Having this knowledge gives you the access to the information and resources needed to build healthy relationships within our children’s lives. Joining Project Y.T.G., will assist you with acquiring and maintaining positivity within our children, households, schools, organizations, social networking, and most of all within ourselves. The program allows the students to collaborate and brainstorm with one another; discussing and creating techniques, assignments, and activities that will assist in promoting positivity within our society. We will provide the necessary tools to ensure success, independence, trust, security, confidence and support team that we all need in life to progress accordingly.
