What is ERCIP?:

What is ERCIP? European River Corridor Improvement Plans

What is ERCIP?:

What is ERCIP? a response to a landscape of increasingly fragmented funding, ownership, responsibilities and top down directives for managing river basins and catchments

What is ERCIP?:

What is ERCIP? it’s aim; to fill the gap between EU, National and Regional flood prevention and river management through local involvement and engagement .

What is ERCIP?:

What is ERCIP? Funded by ERDF through the INTERREG IVC programme. A 3 stage project; ENGAGE; AGREE; FORMALISE.

Why is ERCIP important?:

Why is ERCIP important? “Co-operation is needed between the professions, the water companies, internal drainage boards, local authorities, the Environment Agenc(ies)… they must all work with landowners and residents to be effective.” Open Letter to The Telegraph 21/02/2014

Why is ERCIP important?:

Why is ERCIP important? There are real benefits in agreeing a joint or multi-agency approach; environmental, social and economic. ERCIP formalises the links between local organisations who have a mutual interest in the river corridor. It encourages local engagement and ownership for what could be perceived as a top down process.
