About the Super Cs: 5 About the Super Cs Super C-class vessels:
The largest double-ended ferries in the world
double-ended enables faster loading/unloading as the vessels don’t need to turn around
Inter-operable with all mainland terminals
Most advanced vessels in the BC Ferries fleet
Diesel-electric propulsion systems that are the largest and most fuel efficient of their kind in the world
Two car decks (no ramps)
upper vehicle decks are higher than on Spirit-class, so cube vans can be loaded on either main or upper deck

In service by spring of 2009 on the Inside Passage route
Northern Adventure will move to Prince Rupert – Queen Charlotte Island run when Northern Expedition arrives
Steel cutting is underway; vessel is on-time and on-budget
The 150 metre vessel will accommodate 130Â vehicles and 600 passengers
The vessel will offer 55 modern staterooms for passengers and an expanded range of food services and other amenities
