Heinemann Active Maths… unpicks the CfE outcomes and experiences into manageable and meaningful classroom outcomes helping you to successfully implement CfE in your classroom.

How does it work?

The Curriculum for Excellence contains really broad statements: Our expert author team have taken each of these CfE outcomes… …and unpicked them into simpler Heinemann Active Maths outcomes.

And each of these Heinemann Active Maths outcomes is represented by a Teacher Activity Card – these sit at the heart of the programme. One Curriculum for Excellence Outcome is unpicked into more manageable and achievable chunks. These are the Heinemann Active Maths outcomes. Each of these is broken down further into a series of Success Criteria. These represent the tiny steps of a child’s development, putting children’s learning at the heart of the programme. First Level Exploring Number is out Summer 2010 cross-curricular links to maths strands and other school subjects. outcome and assessment questions. list of all related Pupil Book, Photocopiable Master, Learning Log and Pupil Software tasks. advice about which Teacher Activity Card to use next.
