We celebrate Presidents’ Day every third Monday in February.


We honor President George Washington and President Abraham Lincoln on that day. George Washington Abraham Lincoln


George Washington was the first (1st) President of the United States.


Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth (16th) President of the United States.


George Washington was born on February 22, 1732.


Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809.


Before 1971, people celebrated these birthdays on different dates. Washington’s Birthday Lincoln’s Birthday


It was in 1971 that George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were honored on the first Presidents’ Day.


Since 1971, people have celebrated these birthdays on the third Monday in February. 24 31 Presidents’ Day


Today, some people celebrate all American Presidents on Presidents’ Day.
