Dr. Paul Zarda Handles a Wide Range of Responsibilities at Lockheed Martin Dr. Paul Zarda is an Orlando based professional having many years of experience under his belt. He currently works at Lockheed Martin where his responsibilities fall into various categories including:  Manager of the Engineering Methods Group  Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff assigned to Research and Technology  Program Manager of several contracts with WPAFB Dr. Zarda is also an expert in finite element techniques applied to stress dynamic analyses within Lockheed Martin. His work has led to the development of various tools that increases an engineer’s overall productivity. He is also responsible for the development of FEM/SINDA which is an industry standard thermal analysis code

that has significantly changed the way thermal analysis is performed offering significant productivity gains to the engineering community. Dr. Paul Zarda has also reviewed engineering processes at Lockheed’s Missile and Fire Control Facility in the area of conceptual preliminary design of missile fire control systems. This led to a developed architecture methodology in order to capture that knowledge. The Engineering Methods Group offers Interactive Missile Design Interactive Gimbal Design for conceptual missile fire control designs respectively. This effort has made a significant impact in integrating complex multi-disciplinary design processes has led to over 5 million dollars of documented savings. Interactive Missile Design has been specifically singled out by Lockheed’s Air Force customer as a key discriminator in recent successful proposal wins. Dr. Paul Zarda of Sanford has over 30 years of experience in numerical analysis

techniques both in the area of finite element finite difference algorithms. He has also been invited to speak at many functions including:  ASME  AIAA  University of Florida and the University of Central Florida UCF functions. He has both practical as well as theoretical expertise in the areas of Mechanical Computer Aided Engineering MCAE Knowledge Based Engineering KBE. He also chaired a bench-marking team at the local and corporate level and was chosen from among 80 engineers spanning 25 contractors as Chairman of the Guidance Team.
