Why did John call Jesus by an animal name – “the lamb” ? Adam & Eve sinned God chose a lamb as a substitute. Jesus is the O.T lamb – the Lamb of God that takes away our sin.

And another said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
