Therefore, make-up testing after the second administrations of these tests will now be added.
Make-up sessions for the GR 3 and GR 5 reading retests (English and Spanish) scheduled for April 20 must be completed by April 23.

TAKS reading selections are designed to be interesting, meaningful, and reflective of the Texas
population and our culturally diverse world. Cultural diversity includes regional, economic, social,
and ethnic differences and may be represented through subject matter and/or characters. In addition, reading selections will be similar to those that students encounter in their classrooms and in their everyday lives.
