It is between Cannon Street Railway Bridge and Tower Bridge. Slide 3: The first “London Bridge“ was built by the Romans in 43 A.D. London´s original bridge made this one of the most famous bridge emplacements in the world. London Bridge was fast becoming one of the best places to do business. Slide 4: London Bridge was the only bridge over the Thames in London until Westminster Bridge and it was opened in 1750. Slide 5: London Bridge is falling down, Falling down, falling down, London Bridge is falling . . . Song Tower Bridge: Tower Bridge Slide 7: Designed by Wolfe Barry and Horace Jones, and completed in 1894, the middle of the bridge can be raised,to permit large vessels to pass the Tower Bridge and it is now more than 100 years old. Slide 8: Tower Bridge is 60 meter long and it is towers rive to a height of 43 meter. From the top of the towers, you have a great view on the center of London. Slide 9: Two massive piers had to be sunk into the river bed to support the construction, over 11.000 tons of steel provided the framework for the Towers and Walkways. Slide 10: Tower Bridge has been a bridge across the River Thames in London.Tower Bridge was completed in 1894 after eight years of construction. It took eight years, five major contractors and the relentless labour of 432 construction worked to built Tower Bridge. Slide 11: Today some 40.000 vehicles cross Tower Bridge every day and it opens for river traffic about 900 times a year. Today is serves over 42 million people every year. Slide 12: Tower Bridge, named after its two impressive towers, is one of London’s best known landmarks.
