Assessment Results--Intermediate: Assessment Results--Intermediate Average student scores increased from 82% of questions correct on the pre-test to an average of 88% on the post-test. Average writing scores increased from 89% to 93% of questions correct.Assessment Results--Advanced: Assessment Results--Advanced Average student scores increased from 76% of questions correct on the pre-test to an average of 85% on the post-test. Average writing scores increased from 74% to 85% of questions correct.Individual Student Results: Individual Student Results Level 4 student who attended every day of summer school increased overall score from 65% to 88%. Writing score improved from 54% to 96%, largely due to improvement in paragraph structure.Informal Assessments: Informal Assessments Students showed increased confidence in tackling academic tasks. Students increased interaction with English-speaking peers. Many students continued to attend summer Parks and Recreation program after Camp Can Do program ended. Throughout school year, students have asked ESL teachers when they can go “camping” again. Individual students began to build confidence, enjoy summer program, and make friends.Assessment Conclusions: Assessment Conclusions Students showed gains in academic skills across four areas of language acquisition, as indicated by test results.
