“Hope Within Reach!” PRC COMPASSION is an inter-denominational cooperative network of more than 500 churches and ministries that was formed in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In the face of that crisis a group of pastors and ministry leaders, who were already close friends, realized that with the devastation of Katrina’s landfall they would be provided an unprecedented opportunity – “To Serve Our Neighbors.” Expanding on their existing relationships, these pastors determined to make a difference in the lives of the millions of people affected.
Today PRC Compassion’s four-fold mission is:
Local Church Led Disaster Response
Connecting Spiritual Leaders with State Leaders
Walk-the-Earth Relationships
Pastoral & Church Resourcing 2009 PRC Compassion - Louisiana
