What We Want: Nowadays it gets increasingly difficult for each individual to meet the demands of the labour market.
As new technologies continue to be developed
new practices have to be learnt.
Making learning accessible to all Europeans
and lifelong learning will be even more important in the future. What We Want Education
What We Want: The integration of
the disabled, diseased or socially excluded is a main topic
which has to be tackled in a lasting perspective.
Efficient social aid will be even more important
considering the problem of obsolescence
of European society. What We Want Social issues
What We Want: What We Want Human dignity is vulnerable.
Still nowadays, in Europe. The protection of fundamental rights is the prerequisite for a fair and peaceful life in the future.
Therefore, top priority
has to be given to measures which prevent, combat and deal with the violation of these rights. Human Rights
What We Want: What We Want Human disaster has become a global challenge.
The developed countries have a
particular responsibility in this respect.
The EU intends to support humanitarian projects
through different programmes in developing countries
in order to act more efficiently in case of catastrophes.
Humanitarian aid
What We Want: What We Want Culture is a wide-ranging concept which
consists of more than only paintings and sculptures.
Art criticises and enlightens. Creations of art are the result of an open-minded, integrating and tolerant society. It is important to support
the process of democratisation by funding artists,
particularly in the accession countries. Culture
