2008 Will be the year that all the GV friends will meet on the top of one of the most famous places in the world, MACHUPICCHU. We are working very hard to make an unforgettable reunion and the only thing we wait for is YOU The reunion takes place August 16-23 2008 in Lima and Cusco.

Tuesday, August 19th Working for a better place: NGO Electralandia We will visit the “Asentamiento Humano Pachacutec” areas of extreme poverty, where we will interact with groups of kids (5 years old or less) and implement a small “Wawa Wasi” (daycare) for them. There’ll be several commissions working on the implementation, playing with the children, telling them stories, teaching them some collage work, etc. In one sentence: We’ll have a great time working for a community that needs our support.

Tuesday, August 19th (cont.) Lunch – Buffet: In order to celebrate our hard work we’ll have a good taste of our traditional “Ceviche”, “Tiradito” and all the best of Peruvian food! Goodbye Lima party (hotel) Night at Tourist Hotel in Lima

Wednesday, August 20th Cusco - City Tour Welcome toast with the traditional “mate de coca” (non-alcoholic beverage) City tour. We’ll visit the city of Cusco on a guided tour visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha. Then, we drive out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones, some of them standing over 9 m / 30 ft high and weighing over 350 tons. Welcome night

Thursday, August 21st Cusco - Sacred Valley & River Rafting Trip to the “VALLE SAGRADO DE LOS INCAS”, two ways to go: Option 01: Rafting! For those villagers who love adventure... A genuine experience down the river Vilcanota, Rapids: Class II y III. Option 02: Shopping time at Pisac (Cusco’s traditional market of art crafting). Lunch all together at Pisac Visit to the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo Mystic bonfire Night at Sacred Valley

Machupicchu Upon arrival by train to the seventh New Wonder of the world, you will have a guided tour of the ruins and monuments, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Free time to stroll around the citadel and then meet the rest of the group to be transferred by bus to Town Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon return to Cusco by train.
