In Muslim nations and regions around the globe, began the first week of the holy month of Ramadan, a time for followers to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and sexual activity during the day, breaking their fast each sunset, with traditional meals and sweets. During this time, Muslims are also encouraged to read the entire Quran, to give freely to those in need, and strengthen their ties to God through prayer. The goal of the fast is to teach humility, patience and sacrifice, and to ask forgiveness, practice self-restraint, and pray for guidance in the future. On mobile phones have appeared fancy applications "iPray" or "iQuran", reminiscent of a time of prayer, and the application "Find a Mosque" Muslims can find their way around in a stranger city and find the nearest mosque to pray. And these applications are designed not only for the month of Ramadan. Now, with such applications Islamic users can find the nearest points of catering, serving meals, prepared according to all rules of the diet to the Muslims. Also, using these programs can learn Arabic pronunciation of daily prayers, or count how many pages of the Quran you read today. Dates of Ramadan is still determined by the lunar calendar, and the calculation can vary in different Islamic communities around the world. In North America, for example, many Muslims said the first day of Ramadan on Wednesday. But Islam has never been a stranger to technology.
