Health Technology Center: 

Health Technology Center Health Technology Center, HealthTech, was founded in 2000 by senior healthcare executives A non-profit research organization Provider of in-depth, objective information about emerging healthcare technologies HealthTech forecasts impact of technologies on clinical outcomes, financial performance, facility design, and market strategies Collaborative partnership of over 45 organizations, including health delivery systems and health plans Mission To create a trusted source of objective, expert and useful information about the future of healthcare technologies FinnWell goals Finns will use expert information provided by HealthTech Finns will attend HealthTech events Finns will have a physical presence in Health Tech office and chosen projects

Kaiser Permanente / Kaiser Research FinnWell’s friends at UC Berkeley and Kaiser Research are starting a research project about EHR Study of the effects of Kaiser wide deployment of Epicare’s EHR system EPIC The implementation project: 8 million patients into the system, total costs USD 2 billion Kaiser organizes the first ever three day training seminar for international participants in April about what they are and what they do FinnWell goals Learn about an implementation of interoperable EHR  benchmarking and learning from each others  Finnish project or organization collaborates with the study about Kaiser’s EHR implementation Link several Finnish organizations to Kaiser  Finnish participants in Kaiser’s training April 11th-13th
