Then God’s word brought the chaos back in a flood that destroyed the world. The current galaxies and earth are fuel for the final fire. Judgment!: Judgment! By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. Vs. 7 NIV The day of the Lord is surely coming, as unexpectedly as a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the heavenly bodies will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be burned up. Time: Time 8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. NIV To you, a thousand years is like the passing of a day, or like a few hours in the night. Ps. 90:4 CEV 9The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so he is giving more time for everyone to repent. NLT

Holiness: Holiness 11Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living! 12You should look forward to that day and hurry it along. NLT 14And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. And be at peace with God.


Get Ready: Get Ready We should live our lives as though Christ were coming today and plan our lives as if He might wait a thousand years.
