During this project we were informed of valuable information of your culture.`: ` In this power point we will be discussing sayings and proverbs we exchanged through out our project, and our experiences.American Sayings and Proverbs: American Sayings and Proverbs Through this event we exchanged sayings and proverbs, with school #5 in Gyumri, Armenia. Some sayings and proverbs we would like to share with you are: Blow your own horn, if you want your job done right do it yourself-Benjamin Franklin. Keep your eye on the ball,Work before pleasure. God helps those who help themselves, stand on your own two feet.A girl with cotton stockings never sees a mouse, and a dog is a mans best friend. These proverbs and sayings allow the other students to get a view of America’s culture.Armenian Sayings and Proverbs: Armenian Sayings and Proverbs As we did, the Armenians shared with us some of their sayings and proverbs. Some of the sayings and proverbs, we found interesting are, if the village stands, they will break a log.The grass is always greener in someone else's yard and the rain falls on every roof (a old African proverb they were kind of enough to share with us.) It was very refreshing, to exchange proverbs, and many were a good example of their culture. Our Cultural Differences: Our Cultural Differences Of course, America and Armenia are very different cultures, and we both face stereotypes. Everyday we face obstacles and prejudice towards each other. We were glad to discuss this topic with the other participants, and hear their opinions. We also discussed stereotypes towards countries, and its nice to hear how they view America, and share a understanding. Within this project, we will learn more about the cultures, and will intellectually grow. Real Life: Real Life We are making the world a smaller place by knowledge in this participation. We are more aware, and we believe this will help the world to be a better place for all. If we did more projects like this, we could learn more about the world around us, and break barriers. Students at Work: Students at Work Students at Work Continued: Students at Work Continued We hope to continue, and discuss more topics, and grow as a family! This has been a great experience, and a honor to work with you as a community. You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
