Culture and Education Meaning of culture – The word culture is derived from the Latin word ‘cultura’ means to cultivate. Definition – “ The culture of the society means the total ay of life of a society”. Oltoway.

Characteristics of Culture Learned quality – Culture is learned quality. Transitive quality – Culture is transmitted from person to person.
