For each problem, write a short paragraph giving him advice. Slide 14: 2a. Jude’s three roommates are always having parties. They have a party almost every night – their apartment is always loud and full of people. What will you tell Jude to do? Slide 15: 2b. Jude really likes a girl at his school in Dallas, but he’s too poor to take her out for a fancy, expensive dinner. What are some other things he could ask her to do for a date in Dallas that don’t cost so much money? Give Jude some ideas! Slide 16: 2c. Jude is a really good student and spent all weekend studying for his finals. During the finals, the teacher is helping another student and Jude’s friend whispers to him for help on the final. Jude knows it’s wrong to cheat but his friend won’t pass unless he helps. What would you tell Jude? Slide 17: 3. For each topic, write a short paragraph telling Jude what to do. Use the second person (you) and practice modals for giving advice (should, could, might, ought to) and expressing necessity (have to, must). Slide 18: 4. In Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), write at least 500 words total for all three paragraphs (not 500 for each, just 500 altogether). Submit it by the due date on the journal prompt.
