www.MorrisHumanServices.org Workforce Investment Board (WIB) David Hollowell, Chair - Jack Patten, Director The WIB Plans and Oversees the Area One-Stop Career Center System The Workforce Investment Board is a 50-member, business-led board, which also includes representatives from labor, community-based organizations, education and social services. The WIB writes the Workforce Investment Plan, which contains strategies and objectives for optimizing the area labor market. Through the One-Stop Career Centers, the WIB supports business through On-the-Job Training and jobseekers through a range of employment and training services.

Local police may hold juvenile offenders in custody for up to 6 hours before they must be released or transferred to Juvenile Detention.

Prevents the abridgement of the juvenile’s legal rights during their detainment at the facility. www.MorrisHumanServices.org Community & Behavioral Health Services - Laurie Becker, Director Mission : Optimize access to a broad range of low-cost, publicly funded services: homeless prevention, community development, child care, mental health, substance abuse, and youth programs. Oversight of $8.5 million+ in Federal, State, County funding to agencies, towns serving at least 9,542 youth, adults and families annually. Recommendations on $20+ million State funds -- behavioral health and HIV/AIDS. Information, referrals, advocacy for at least 500 callers annually.
