There are 5 categories in 5 different coloured banners. The categories are: 1. Nobles 2. Religious 3. Military 4. Trade 5. Monuments Illustrations of buildings with various iconic architectural styles representing the various cultures in SEALearning Outcome 1: Learning Outcome 1 Open up students to the cultural context of South East Asia through attractive and iconic illustration Encourage historical empathy and imagination for more effective learningLearning Outcome 2: Learning Outcome 2 The optimal solution to win the game is to select different character every turn while balancing between persevering with a strategy stubbornly and adapting according to opportunities present Repeatedly selecting the same character will severely limit player’s opportunities and make him / her highly vulnerable to “sabotages” The worst scenario is to slip into a vicious cycle of “sabotaging” each other due to irrational decisionsLearning Outcome 2: Learning Outcome 2 Thus the game and its mechanism actually simulates decisions that Singapore leaders have to make in order to develop our city into a prosperous cosmopolis.
