El ciego se llamaba Bartimeo, hijo de Timeo. Cuando oyó que Jesús estaba pasando por allí, empezó a gritar: Jesús, Tú eres El Mesías, ten Compasión de mí La gente entonces comenzó a reprenderlo para que se callara, pero él gritaba con más fuerza todavía. ¡Callate! ¡No molestes! ¡Vete! ¡Callate! ¡No molestes! ¡Vete! Entonces Jesús se detuvo y mandó llamar al ciego quien se acercó a Jesús. ¿Qué quieres que haga por ti? Maestro, haz que yo pueda ver de nuevo. Puedes irte, estás sano porque confiaste en Dios En ese momento el ciego pudo ver de nuevo y siguió a Jesús por el camino.
