How Do I Access Blackboard? You must have a Fresno State username and password Sign-up for a Free Fresno State email at my.csufresno.edu If you forget your password call the Help Desk at 278-7000

Forwarding Your Email: 

Forwarding Your Email To forward your email: -> Go to http://email.csufresno.edu and login -> Click on Options -> Settings -> In the Mail Forwarding section enter the complete email address where you wish to have your emails forwarded -> Click on Save Changes Each time you get an email, a copy will be sent to the email address you entered above. Please Note: You must login to http://email.csufresno.edu periodically and clean up your inbox to avoid exceeding your quota. If your Fresno State account is full, you will not be able to receive or forward email.

A Blackboard Class Instructors may use one or all of the following: Content tools for placing course documents and assignments online. Communication tools such as announcements, discussion boards, email, and student groups. Assessment tools for developing and delivering online exams, quizzes, and the electronic grade book.

A Blackboard Class: 

A Blackboard Class Content Area Post course documents, staff information, assignments, announcements, assessments, and external links. Incorporate text, spreadsheet, slideshows, graphics files, audio and video clips. Post tests, surveys, and quizzes to measure a student's understanding of the course.

Documents: 

Documents Instructors use the content area to manage information, materials, assignments, and assessments used in the course.

Opening Documents: 

Opening Documents When you select a document to open, your browser may give you the option of opening the document or saving to your computer You can also right-click on the document link to save the file or print it out.

Plug-ins: 

Plug-ins Instructors have opportunity to upload and post various types of files including Word documents, HTML pages, Adobe .PDF pages, PowerPoint presentations, graphics, videos, and audio files. In order to view some of these files, you need to have the necessary plug-ins installed on your computer. Check with your instructor if plug-ins are needed.

Turning in an Assignment Your instructor may add an assignment to your class. Click on ‘View/Complete’ Read the document Add comments Upload any necessary documents Submit The Assignment can be saved and completed later. Once you submit the assignment, it is automatically recorded in the Gradebook where your instructor can view your submission, grade it, and give you feedback.

Turnitin and Blackboard: 

Turnitin and Blackboard Instructors can create assignments in Blackboard that will run your papers through Turnitin. To turn in a Turnitin assignment: Find the ‘View/Complete’ link your instructor has created. Name and upload the file. Submit.

Turnitin and Blackboard To view your Originality Report: Click the same ‘View/Complete’ link where you submitted the assignment. Click the ‘OK’ button. This will take you to your originality report. You can also select the ‘Tools’ button and click ‘Login to Turnitin’. This will take you to your area In Turnitin for this course. You can check your Originality report here.
