FLEX Progress February 2005 to Present Implemented the Statewide Information and Intelligence Sharing Strategy that is comprehensive, consistent and coordinated CJJIS Council created Law Enforcement Connectivity Workgroup and implemented the Technology Sub-Committee which represents the 7 regions Hired Technical Coordinator to provide ongoing technical support to the Law Enforcement Connectivity Workgroup and regional projects Conducted full reviews of the architecture of each region’s chosen technology solution or strategy Domestic Security Oversight Council (DSOC) approved the statewide strategy and direction of FLEX project

FLEX – Next Steps Equip, train and monitor regions to ensure that all Regions are conducting “data mapping” of individual agency data to the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) standard for data sharing Develop and signing of formal MOUs, between respective projects/FLEX participants Develop of Privacy Policies for regional projects and FLEX connectivity Finalize sub-grant applications for each project to receive DHS/ODP funds for individual projects Develop requirement documents for Phase 3 - to provide the high end analytic capability “FLEX web utility belt” for system users
