The system is based on 60 credits for a school year or 30 credits for one semester (as in the ECTS), allocated by subjects, according to the study plan of the speciality. State requirements Regulations for the contents of the basic documents, issued by the higher schools in Bulgaria; A European diploma supplement is issued as a supplement to the original diploma and does not substitute the official Supplement to the Higher Education Diploma. The European Diploma supplement follows the model, developed by the European Commission, the European Council /UNESCO/CEPENS. Its issue as a compulsory element of the educational documentation is legally regulated in the latest alterations and supplements to the HEL of June 2004.
