Mercury has the widest temperature range of any planet in the Solar System, from a chilly -170°C at night to a sizzling 350°C during the day. We had made a special suit for the astronomers so that when they feel warm they can press the button and the suit becomes cold and when they feel cold they again press it and they feel warm again . Without this suit we would have died because of dehydration in mercury. Slide6: The captain Hassan Siddiqui This is the captain of the spaceship. He will guide us through out our mission. Slide7: The pilot Raees Altaf This is the pilot Raees Altaf who will fly the spacecraft across the atmosphere.Slide8: Our geologist will study the fluids within the rocks to understand their chemistry, study their magnetism for clues to deep structure and use aerial or satellite photos to examine surface structure. The Geologist ZaidSlide9: The Genious and the Plan maker Sarim Yaseen This is our plan maker who will help the astronomers if the spacecraft faces any problems during our journey Slide10: Our space craft designer Firoz Talib This is our spacecraft designer who is responsible for designing our spacecraft keeping in mind that mercury is very hot and has very extreme temperature and made a sun screen for the spacecraft so that the space craft does not melt in Mercury.Slide11: Our food storage in charge Sakina Abid. This is our food storage in charge who will give us food during our journey.Slide12: Our journey to Mercury started on 1st February 2005 and we landed back on the Earth on 21st of February 2005.Slide13: DEFINITION Mercury is the nearest planet to the Sun and the second smallest in the Solar System WE HAD SOME REASONS TO VISIT MERCURY WHICH WERE: See the Sun rise twice in one day Experience the widest range in temperature of any planet, from a chilly -170°C at night to a sizzling 350°C during the day Slide14: When we arrived on mercury the descent to Mercury was smooth. The planet had very little atmosphere so there was no chance of our ship burning up as we approached. This meant that the planet had little protection against asteroids. So the surface was littered with carters of all sizes. What little atmosphere there is consists of atoms blasted from the planet's surface by the solar wind. Mercury's tiny gravitational field was not large enough to hold those atoms in place. Slide15: Our geologist took some pictures of the planet mercury’s surface. Slide16: We took some pictures while orbiting around Mercury Slide17: While returning back to Earth we got to know many things about Mercury. We enjoyed very much on the planet and improved our knowledge about planets. We took many pictures of Mercury and the surface of it.Slide18: This was our Mission to Mercury.
