(RTI): A method of academic intervention. It is another resource in identifying students with learning disabilities. All students are screened for possible academic problems What is Response to Intervention? (RTI) It integrates assessment and intervention within a multilevel prevention system All students receive research –based instruction in general educationWhat are the Characteristics of RTI : What are the Characteristics of RTIHigh quality, research-based instruction and behavior supports in general education: High quality, research-based instruction and behavior supports in general education Scientific, research based intervention focused specifically on individual student difficulties and delivered with appropriate intensity: Scientific , research based intervention focused specifically on individual student difficulties and delivered with appropriate intensityCollaborative approach by school staff for development: TEACHERS COUNSELORS ADMINSTATORS DISTRICT OFFICE Collaborative approach by school staff for developmentData Based Documentation: Email Newsletter and Correspondence sent home with students Letter (Mail) Meetings: How the meeting was publicized, Sign-in sheet, agenda, minutes or product; or Conferences : Teacher and parent meeting, Sign-in sheets should be maintained.
