Premium member Presentation Transcript Map of the daintree: Map of the daintree The Daintree Rain forest is located on the coast of Queensland.PLANTS: PLANTS There are plant varieties in the Daintree such as Idiot Fruit, Blue Quandons, Burrawang Palm and Wild Ginger.Animals: Animals There are millions of animals in the Daintree some of these are estuarine crocodile and cassowary.There are also snakes, wild pigs and birds.Layers: Layers There are layers in the Daintree such us Emergent layer, Canopy layer, Under story, Shrub layer and the forest floor.Emergent Layer: Emergent Layer The emergent layer is the homes of birds and more animals.The emergent layer gets 100 percent of sun light and they are the largest trees in the Daintree. .Canopy layer: The canopy layer gets 2 to 25 percent of sunlight. Canopy layerUnder story layer : The under story layer gets between 2 or 15 percent of sun light. Under story layer Shrub Layer : The shrub layer attracts lizards and insects. Shrub Layer Forest Floor : Forest Floor The forest floor is where all the insects.Slide11: Almost no nutrients reach the forest soil and it is consequently poor. Removal of the trees allows the soil to dry out and the little humus that exists. TOURISM : TOURISM The Daintree is a great place for tourism if they tear down the Daintree Queensland will lose a lot of money.
