Food is a blend of the Spanish, Indian and European, with some French specialties typical restaurant dishes include shrimp ceviche, red snapper with cashews, and mushrooms with garlic flan is a famous dessert and hot bananas may come with a chile-spiked chocolate sauce

What kind of money do they use? The past few years the quetzal has varied between 6 and 8 to a dollar. One quetzal buys about what one dollar buys in the United States (unless you are buying something like electronic equipment).
