Key Findings: © Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation The ICT for Development Experts Key Findings A broad form of Internet governance administered by an intergovernmental organisation. Governments have a major role to play in areas such as ccTLD management, and reaching international agreements on e-commerce and cyber security. Although consultation continues, it needs to be deeper and conducted alongside capacity building initiatives. Most respondents felt some level of optimism about WGIG achieving its goals by Tunis, November 2005. Reaching a consensus over Internet governance is extremely important if we wish to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
