Musala is the highest peak in Bulgaria and the Balkan Peninsula with a height of 2925 m
Musala Peak is located in the Rila Mountains.
At the top is built meteorological station of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
