WORKSHOPS QECO- Qualifications Evaluation Council of Ontario As a student of a faculty of education in Ontario, you are likely to accept a position to teach in the province. Your employer may require a QECO Statement of Evaluation or a student Letter of Evaluation which they will use to pay you what you deserve. Without a QECO evaluation, you will be paid by your school board at the lowest level until you obtain your evaluation.

WORKSHOPS QECO (continued) You are eligible for a QECO student evaluation if: You are enrolled in an Ontario faculty of education You are going to graduate this year If QECO receives your application between January 1st and April 30th If all your supporting documentation is received by July 15th Completed applications must be submitted in printed form completing the Student Evaluation (s) form.

WORKSHOPS QECO (continued) To complete a Student Evaluation (s) please ensure your completed application form is accompanied by: 1) Official university transcripts (both from Nipissing and Laurier), no photocopies are allowed 2) A covering letter if you wish to receive upgrading information. This letter will outline the best route for you to take to get to the maximum pay level in the shortest period of time. NOTE: Unlike the transcripts requirements for the Ontario College of Teachers QECO will accept transcripts regardless of whether your degree has been conferred or not.

If you are enrolled in a concurrent or part-time program, you should apply in your final year.

Awards: 

Awards 67 Darling Street, Brantford, ON N3T 2K6 FACULTY OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES AND AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES AND AWARDS There are a number of awards specific to the graduates of the Concurrent Bachelor of Education program. These awards will be determined by faculty based on nominations. A valedictorian will be chosen by graduates to represent the student group and address the convocation dinner.

Applications will be accepted between February 2nd and May 1st, but will be assessed a $52.30 late fee and will be applied to your account. Applications to graduate for Undergraduate and graduate students are linked below. If you are not planning to attend convocation, your degree will be couriered to you after the ceremony in June. You may also pick up your degree in the Office of the Registrar - ID is required. Additional Basic Qualification Courses Additional Basic Qualification courses are courses that lead to a qualification in a division beyond the two that are part of the BEd program. Cindy Forth - the Manager of In-Service - will be coming from Nipissing, North Bay to present the multiple ways of completing an ABQ or AQ course and how to apply. What are Basic Qualifications? Students must apply to the Ontario College of Teachers for certification before these courses begin and students will be required to provide their OCT number at the time of registration.
