Arthrography of the shoulder: Arthrography of the shoulder
Arthrography: Arthrography Single contrast study
Double contrast study
Slide3: A lead marker is placed near the lower third of the glenohumeral articulation to indicate the site of neddle insertion.
15-20ml of positive contrast agent (10ml of contrast medium+10ml of room air) are injected into the joint capsule
Indication: Indication Rotator cuff tear
Complete
Partial
Adhesive capsulitis (Frozen shoulder)
combined with CT scan~
Abnormalities of the fibrocartilaginous glenoid labrum
Rotator cuff tear: Rotator cuff tear Common site: supraspinatous tendon (approximately 1cm from the insertion into the greater tuberosity of the humerus)
Arthrography: Opacification of the subacromial-subdeltoid bursae
Complete rotator cuff tear: Complete rotator cuff tear
Partial rotator cuff tear: Partial rotator cuff tear
Partial rotator cuff tear: Partial rotator cuff tear
Adhesive capsulitis: Adhesive capsulitis Frozen shoulder
Usually results from posttraumatic adhesive inflammation between the joint capsule and the peripheral articular cartilage of the shoulder.
Arthrography:
Decreased capacity of the joint capsule
Complete obliteration of the axillary and subscapularis recesses.
Tear of the glenoid labrum: Tear of the glenoid labrum
Tear of the glenoid labrum: Tear of the glenoid labrum
