Charter 8 Members appointed by First Selectman with approval of Board of Selectman. Manage property not designated for use by the Town of Newtown. Town will retain direct responsibility for Town Hall site andamp; building, playing fields, land banked open areas, potential school sites, etc. Balance of property andamp; buildings will be administered by Authority in accordance with the approved master plan. Authority is responsible for maintenance of property, including mothballing of buildings as needed, demolition of properties so designated, construction of shared parking areas, construction of infrastructure improvements and general security for property.
