As you can see it’s a long list!

Project Overview:

Project Overview Will be designing three components for In2 Networks Home Human Interface (HHI) The User Application - will allow a user to efficiently control IP-enabled devices connected to the home network The Windows Vista Media Center Interface - should use the Windows Vista presentation framework to create control pages with layouts similar to those generated by the User Application but with better graphics and animations The Server Application - will allow users to remotely access their home devices by forwarding TCP packets between the home and remote computer

Competitors:

Competitors In2 Networks What they do poorly Very Slow Limited to local access Difficult to update controls What they do well Always-on (online) technology Small bandwidth Integrated look Adaptability to a wide variety of components Current Application

How our Product Will be Better:

How our Product Will be Better Will be fast, and provide multiple contexts to access control media Will allow the interface to implement skins Will allow expandability so our product can grow with hardware Will implement backwards compatibility

Components:

Components Plan to use C# GUI object, integrating layered browsers which will utilize TCP and UNICN protocols to communicate with nodes. Windows Media Center Interface for IR/Entertainment center interface. Run loaded app from remote workstations after authenticating to manufacturer-hosted web server.
