Pa taught me many things about survival so I can do this. I can make a hunting bow out of a cattail. If it gets cold at night I can heat up some rocks and lay on them.:

Kit doesn’t seem to be to bad, but that boy could not make it out in the woods long at all. Pa, I am going to teach him and I think with some help he can make it. My plan to get out should work.:

We had acorn cakes with blackberries for breakfast. Boy it is great out here. But I am afraid Kit is getting sicker. I gave him some yellow root tree. But he is not getting better. Pa, what else can I try? :
